Reliable annular barriers are at the heart of good well decommissioning. In this Australian offshore case study, hydro-mechanical perforation with the Gator was combined with annular expansion from the Mega Packer MPX to open communication to the annulus, establish circulation and place cement where conventional methods struggle. Dayln Beazer presented this Perforate, Circulate, Cement method at a recent SPE workshop on practical barrier solutions.

LES is a sponsor of OWI EU 2026, Europe's well intervention conference, held April 28–29, 2026 in Stavanger, Norway. The event now sits on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, where investment is under way in well intervention, plug and abandonment, and carbon capture and storage. Operators from the UK and Norwegian shelves attend, with senior leadership from Equinor, Shell and Havtil, the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority.
Lee Energy Systems attended the 31st Annual Technical Conference (ATC-2026), held January 27–29, 2026 at the Islamabad Serena Hotel in Pakistan. This year's theme was "Energizing the Future from Within: Sustainably. Securely. Strategically." The team spent the week with operators and technical experts, talking through new technology for upstream work.
LES exhibited at the SPE Thermal Well Integrity & Production Symposium, December 1–4, 2025 at the Fairmont Banff Springs in Banff, Alberta. At Booth 30 the team showed the SAGD Gator Perforator System, built for high-temperature well integrity, efficient flow and dependable operation in thermal wells.
Expro and Lee Energy Systems continue to expand their global collaboration. Expro's downhole service tools and P&A suite, combined with LES tools, give operators one package for wells from wildcat drilling and appraisal through to end-of-life campaigns, with a shared goal of lowering the overall cost of well ownership.

OSP and its partners resolved sustained casing pressure on a well by combining the PerfPro System with Assure EPG self-healing sealant. The Gator Perforator created precise flow paths, the NEXUS Packer confirmed circulation and isolation, and 386 lbs of Assure EPG went in across the leaking intervals, repairing failed cement plugs and forming a durable gas-tight seal.
