Reliable annular barriers are at the heart of good well decommissioning. In this Australian offshore case study, hydro-mechanical perforation with the Gator was combined with annular expansion from the Mega Packer MPX to open communication to the annulus, establish circulation and place cement where conventional methods struggle.
